Clinic
- Jacksonian March / Seizure is a simple partial seizure spreads from the distal part of limbs (Fingers) toward the ipsilateral face
- They are initiated with abnormal electrical activity within the primary motor cortex.
- It lasts briefly and leads to Sudden muscle contractions
- I think these muscle contractions could be Myoclonus
Symptoms
- Tingling / Numbness or Feeling of waves through the fingers
- Sudden head and eye movements
- Smacking of the lips
- They may result in secondary generalized seizure involving both hemispheres.
- They can also start at the feet with tingling / Pins / Needles/ Painful cramps in the foot
- Because it is a partial seizure, the postictal state is of normal consciousness.
