HSV-2 in brief

• Multiplicity of symptoms and conflict points
• HSV-2 even has modality, which is rare among viruses.

• Involvement of the skin, genitals and mouth.
• Very similar to HSV-1

Herpetic rash

• Small and large pimples and blisters (vesicles)
• Location:Face, Ears, inguinal, rectum and around the anus, axilla, female and male genitals, thighs, buttocks
• Discharging rashes followed by crusting
• Hair loss as a rash scar
• More problems on the right
• Small tubercle skin cracks

Ulcers

• skin and throat, mouth and tongue, rectum, female genitalia
• Esophageal patchy white sores
• Sensation of wound inside the nose, rectum, female genitalia

Radiculopathy

• Shooting pains + tingling in limbs, knees, hips
• Neuralgia of the eyes, ears, throat, ears
• Neuralgia of the chest and especially behind the sternum,
• Sacrum radiculopathy (sciatica)

Bleeding / Thrombocytopenia

• Anus
• Menorrhagia

Mucous membrane

• Sign / Symptoms: Dry mucous membranes, redness and heat

• Blepharitis, Keratitis,Conjunctivitis esp vesicular type
• Ophthalmitis, Retinitis, Chorioretinitis: Blurred vision, Blindness and Retinal necrosis
• Gingivitis, Stomatitis: Mouth and tongue sores, Dry mucous membranes, Redness and Heat
• Exudative pharyngitis, Tonsillitis:
  • Exudative secretions of the throat and back of the pharynx
  • Dry mucous membranes
  • Redness and heat
• Itching: Rectum, Trachea, Female / Male genital, Lower limbs and different parts of the skin

Rhinitis

• Catarrh, purulent nasal discharge
• Inflammation of the nose (Redness and Heat)
• Dryness of the mucous membranes and inside the nose
• Dry and scurfy nostrils
• Pain and burning inside the nose

Esophagitis

• Dysphagia
• Odynophagia
• Esophageal pseudomembrane

Neuropathy

• Bladder atony: Urination retention + Large bladder, Sphincter Atony (Enuresis)
• Anal atony: Atony of the anal sphincter and around the anus
• Male Impotence: Alteration of the bulbocavernous reflex

• Sacral Radiculopathy
  • Weakness, feeling of heaviness and decreased muscle strength of the lower limbs
  • Right-sided

• Transverse myelitis, neuritis:
  • Numbness or increased touch sensitivity
  • Back and sacrum area, around the anus

Cellulitis

• Fingers, chest, female genitalia, face
• Redness and heat
