- Skin lesions are usually purple, red, brown, or black,
- Limited area, or widespread.
- Gradually or quickly.
- Lesions may be flat or raised, nodules or blotches, usually papular.
- HHV-8 is found in all lesions.
- KS lesions areas include lower limbs, back, face, mouth, and genitalia.
- The lesions are usually as described above, but may occasionally be plaque-like (often on the soles of the feet) or even involved in skin breakdown with resulting fungating lesions
