Chorioretinitis

Toxoplasmosis is often associated with reactivation of the retinal lesion adjacent to a previous scar. Kyrieleis arteriolitis is an accumulation of periarteriolar exudates in eyes with toxoplasmosis leading to retinal necrosis (Figure 5). Foci of chorioretinitis and choroiditis may be closely associated with retinal vasculitis. Association of retinal vasculitis and chorioretinal lesions in cytomegalovirus retinitis gives an appearance of pizza-pie retinopathy (Figure 4).
