Clinic

  • It is an infection of the small intestine by some strains of the bacterium Vibrio cholerae.

Signs / Symptoms

  • Profuse diarrhea (Rice water)
  • Vomiting of clear fluid
  • Fever is rare
  • Lethargy / Sunken eyes/ Dry mouth/ Cold clammy skin/ Wrinkled hands and feet due to dehydration
  • Kussmaul breathing, due to acidosis
