It is an inflammation of the choroid (thin pigmented vascular coat of the eye) and retina.
It is a form of posterior uveitis. If only the choroid is inflamed, not the retina, the condition is termed choroiditis.
Sign/ Symptoms
- Pain or eye redness
- Blurred vision, or
- Floating objects / Sparks or flashes of light in visual field
- Light Sensitivity
- Excessive lachrymation
- Impaired night vision
- Impaired color vision.
- Distortion of objects
