They are both specific for
- Neuralgic pains
- Heart palpitations
- Heart problems
- Headaches around the eyes
Eye pain in both gets worse by turning the eyes.
Problems both come and go with the sun.
Difference
Both are used in endocarditis, myocardial infarction, and stinging heart pain, but Spig heart palpitations are more severe.
Both have painful unilateral maxillary or frontal sinus involvement, but Spig is clearly catarrhal while Kalm sinusitis is not catarrhal and only painful.
Kalm has valvular rheumatic involvement opposite to Spig
