Entity characteristics
- Exclusive identity: Entities have a specific and independent nature and cannot be transformed into each other. They have definite borders with each other.
- SSPs: Entitles contain specific accompaniments of Sign / Symptom / Para clinic features. It means that existence of at least two or more SSPs are necessary for an Entity. Therefore SSPs are freely used in different entities with different probabilities but the probability of attendance of each SSP in each entity is always a fixed number.
- Dynamic: Entities dependent from each other but they are alive. It means that they have clear boundaries with each other but it is not a non-dismissal border, but permeable. Therefore there is a continuous flow of information, matter and energy between entities. That's why they are not static. They constantly influence each other and this makes them so fluid and dynamic. They react to environmental stimuli . Because of their specific identity, they react in an stable manner, which is diagnostic for them. Any static disorder that is caused from permanent destruction of body tissues is not categorized as entities. According to this definition, genetic diseases are not considered as entities because they are based on a fixed and unchanged genetic disorder.
- Modality: Modalities are natural outcomes of dynamic, specific identity of entities. Entities are alive so they react to their surrounding environment. They have specific identity, so they usually react in a same manner. This stable reaction is named as modality, which would be characteristic for differential diagnosis of them.
- Inflammatory quality: Entities have inflammatory nature, which means that they are the interaction between host and pathological agents not naively equals to pathological agents.
- Natural: Entities are not direct effect of Toxins or Mechanical / Chemical trauma. They form naturally in body organs.
Briefly saying Entities are not an artificial sum of SSPs= Sign/ Symptoms/ Paraclinical signs nor pathological agents, but also they are distinct pathological nuclei. Miasms are the result of the mutual effects of entities. Rarely some entities could decrease the intensity of the others but often there is a Synergistic effect between them which could explain the Mystery of miasms
Entities are fix/ Strict units of pathology. It means that their quality does not change over time. So they could only change in quantity.
Entities are dynamic, which means that they are alive and could change with treatment.
Note that the three mentioned characteristics are Necessary and sufficient conditions for formation of Entities. You could imagine various mode of sumations of SSPs that do not have at least one of the three and so is not an Entity.
- An artificial sum of SSPs which dose not have a specific identity. E.g Arthralgia + Nausea + Anxiety. This state is a very common and always Illusory. Therefore should be discussed completely
- A natural sum of Dynamic and static SSPs = This is the definition of Disease, which would be explained soon.
- A natural sum of static SSPs which is caused by an static etiology= This is also an important issue which is named Post- Node and would be clarified soon.
Post- Node
Node is a natural sum of SSPs which is caused by mechanical effect of a pathology or a trauma. Consider a case of Colon adenocarcinoma with cystic irritability (Urging, Frequency and nocturia). The question is whether this situation is an entity or not? At the first step you should answer if it has a certain identity or not. The answer in No. Since its identity is not specificly limited to Bladder, since SSPs are directly related the position and size of tumor. It could be limited to bladder but in progressing the size of tumor, testicular, ovarian, spelenic or hepatobilliary SSPs may be occured. You may consider this situation as an increase in the number of entities. In this case, it should be said that these possible entities do not have an independent nature from each other and all of them are created from a local pressure. So they do not have the first condition.
Regarding the second condition, the answer is Also negative, because it is not a dynamic state. This means that the bladder's excitability caused by the local pressure of the tumor always shows a constant reaction to internal as well as external stimuli. This means that different hours of day and night or external stimuli such as heat and cold or different mental states, cannot influence the intensity of the urinary frequency and urgency. In simple words, there is only one fixed and static factor called tumor size, which can change the patient sign and symptoms.
Artificial disease
As it is obvious from its name, Artificial disease occurred through direct effect of Toxins, Mechanical or Chemical traumas. This would be the issue of Toxicology and Accidents department. They could have some modalities. They may have specific nature because of specific organ which is damaged. But they could not participate in miasms since they are not dynamic. Artificial diseases could trigger one or some entities but they are not entities in nature. This would hidden the Artificial nature of them. But pay attention, miasmatic treatment may help the patient to get rid of his Artificial disease, but usually Artificial disease needs Surgical / Detoxification interventions
Static entities
We have also static entities, which are the result of destruction of normal tissues. Hardly saying dynamic entities could be equal to functional changing of tissues and static entities could be considered as structural changes. Dynamic entities are usually reversible but static entites are irreversible. Although there is no definite boundary between them and the could changed to each other
