Clinic

  • Also called Pandysautonomia, is a rare form of Guillain-Barré syndrome
  • It is characterized by parasympathetic and sympathetic failure with minimal or no somatosensory or motor impairment.
  • Immune-mediated mechanism usually affect efferent postganglionic sympathetic and parasympathetic pathways.
  • Slow, incomplete recovery
  • Persistent orthostatic hypotension is common
  • No effective therapy is available yet.


Sign / Symptoms

  • Gastrointestinal symptoms (Abdominal pain, Vomiting, Constipation, Diarrhea, Gastroparesis, Ileus)
  • Orthostatic hypotension
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Urinary frequency, urgency or retention
  • Vasomotor instability (Also referred to as hot Flashing)
  • Acrocyanosis
  • Reduced salivation, lacrimation and sweating
