- Also called Brachial plexus dysfunction, Parsonage Turner syndrome and Pancoast syndrome
- It is a Peripheral Nervous system disease, a form of peripheral neuropathy.
- It occurs when there is damage to the brachial plexus. This is a group of nerves that run from the lower neck through the upper shoulder area. These nerves provide the shoulder, arm, and hand with movement and sensation through the radial, median, and ulnar nerves.
- It results in pain, decreased movement, or decreased feeling in the arm and shoulder
Causes
- Direct injury/ Stretching injuries / Tumors / Radiation therapy / Birth defects
- Exposure to toxins, chemicals, or drugs / General anesthesia
- Inflammatory conditions due to a virus or immune system problem. In this condition, often called brachial neuritis.
Symptoms
- Numbness / Tingling / Abnormal sensations of Shoulder / Arm / Hand
- Shoulder pain/ burning
- Weakness of the shoulder, arm, hand, or wrist

- Hyperstesia
- Neuropathy : B19, HIV
- Neuritis, Brachial: CMV, CXA, CXB, EBV, B19, COV-19, VZV, WNE
Miasms
- B19: Neuritis, Brachial + Neuropathy + Parestesia
- VZV: Neuritis, Brachial + General Neuralgia + Parestesia
- LBB: Parestesia + Hyperstasia + Neuralgia
