He will follow the doctor's advice down to every precaution but not so much out of his own wish as to be an obedient patient to his doctor. He tells the doctor that his only reason for taking the medicine is that he wants to be in a good state of health. It's like obliging the doctor
Bell ₳ Merc	Bell on the other hand is sensitive and can easily break down. Merc affords being frivolous and casual is through his faith in the treatment and his belief that nothing could happen to him as long as he is taking it.
