Clinic

Transversal inflammation of spinal cord due to Infections, Immune system disorders, Nerve fibers injuries or myelin loss. Its main characteristics are

• Weakness (Paraparesis, Paraplegia )
• Sensory deficits / Numbness (Paresthesia)
• Motor skills decreased
• Sphincter dysfunctional (Urethral, Anal)
• Autonomic dysfunction which can lead to Hypertention
• Local Stabbing / Burning pain (Hyperesthesia)
• Respiratory failure due to Diaphragm paralysis
