- Fatigue is a SSP. It is state of Tiredness/ Exhaustion.
- In general usage, fatigue often follows prolonged physical or mental activity.
- Here in this article, I use Fatigue, when Exhaustion occurs independently of physical or mental exertion, therefore it does not resolve after rest or sleep.

- Autoimmune diseases, such as celiac disease, SLE, MS, Myasthenia gravis, Sjögren's syndrome, and spondyloarthropathy
- Anxiety disorders such as Generalized anxiety disorder
- Blood disorders such as Anemia and hemochromatosis
- Chronic fatigue syndrome
- Substance use disorders including alcohol use disorder
- Depression and other mental disorders that feature depressed mood
- Developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder
- Endocrine diseases or metabolic disorders: Diabetes mellitus and Addison’s disease
- Fibromyalgia
- Gulf War syndrome
- Idiopathic chronic fatigue (ICF)
- Infectious diseases such as Infectious mononucleosis, tuberculosis, Covid-19, HIV
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Lyme disease
- Neurological disorders such as Narcolepsy, Parkinson's disease, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome
Static causes
- Brain injury
- Inborn errors of metabolism such as fructose malabsorption
- Stroke
- Sleep deprivation or sleep disorders, e.g. sleep apnea
- Thyroid disease such as hypothyroidism
- Physical trauma and other pain-causing conditions, such as arthritis
- Post-concussion syndrome
- Liver failure or liver diseases e.g. Hepatitis
- Kidney diseases e.g. acute renal failure, chronic renal failure
- Heart failure
- Eating disorders, which can produce fatigue due to inadequate nutrition
- Cancer fatigue, Leukemia or lymphoma
