Asaf in brief

• Asaf is native Iranian medicine for bloating and inflammation of the abdomen, abdominal colic with flatulence and feeling of mass in the intestines
• Asaf is hysteric remedy with a focus on the GI tract, esp the esophagus, and secondarily the stomach and intestines
• Apparently, he is strong, but he does not tolerate the slightest stress and is extremely sensitive.
• Very sensitive and hypochondriac (Valer)

Esophageal spasm

• Globus hystericus: Feeling of Spasm/ Tightness/ Pressure in the throat. (Ign, Spong, Cact)

• Esophageal and gastric spasm
• Peristalsis as opposed to esophagus leading to shortness of breath.

Acid reflux

• Acidic and explosive regurgitation
• Sudden hysterical abdominal bloating with upward pressure.
• Burp / Food raises, smells like garlic and its mouth tastes greasy.
• Feeling of a lump in the stomach that rises to the throat because of reversal of esophageal peristaltic movements.
• Accompanied by severe bloating (Cocc)
